The book Venting for Release is a collection of poems that were conceived during a very dark period of Melinda's life. She used writing as a way to express those thoughts racing through her mind, at hard times when she couldn't sleep. Melinda states that the writing kept her from falling into a very deep depression, and the writing was very therapeutic for her. Venting for Release contains poems of anger, self reflection, and rediscovery.

Melinda Edenburgh Smith is the very caring and loving mother of 3 young kings, Mykel, Matthew and Andre. She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio but currently resides in Atlanta, GA. In edition to being a prolific writer, and excellent mother of 3, she is also a mentor, life coach, prominent businesswoman (CEO of Phoenix Risings Enterprises which also includes her Tax preparation and credit repair business) and obedient child of god.
